We were so fortunate to work with Khara in our design and collateral needs. Khara has an eye for design that made it really easy to describe a need to her, and have her take those words and create powerful, concise visuals that really conveyed the desired message. Her responsiveness was always impressive – her ability to be so attentive to us made me feel like she worked with us full time rather than only on an as needed basis.

I have worked with Khara for over 8 years now on various marketing projects that have ranged from small ads to full website creation. That should say something right there, as having that long of a relationship with the same marketing person is truly an accomplishment. As a small business owner I really enjoyed the creative process with Khara. Her ability to garner ideas and concepts from conversations is a true talent. It’s a rarity to find someone that is so responsive and timely in their work. We always counted on Khara to really be a part of our team and to bring the creative as well as the process to our marketing needs. I believe we have been really successful in our social media, as well as our online sales effort, due in no small part to Khara.

Khara did an outstanding job designing our new San Juan Symphony website.  Everything is clear, concise and appealing.  There are numerous, user-friendly ways to navigate to the information symphony fans need to know.  It’s also a simple process for me to update information and add photos throughout the season.  Brava!

I just had Khara set up a logo and website for me and I couldn’t be more pleased.  She is a pleasure to work with.  She is very patient with ALL of my queries and lack of knowledge.  She put together the logo and the website in a prompt and timely manner with lots of creativity.  She was upfront with costs and timing.  It was a good experience for me and I know she’s there for any follow up questions I have.  Thanks Khara!

Khara Wolf Design Testimonial

Years ago I fell heir to a diary written by my grandfather. Khara is easy going and personable, and I enjoyed our meetings which took place as I finished sections of the diary. She presented me with several options for placement of illustrations and my personal writing and was able to size and place these with great expertise resulting in an easy to follow format. Once my work was completed, Khara digitalized the diary after which she recommended a local printing company whose finished product was more beautiful the I could ever have imagined. Finally, I was able to see the fruits of my work made possible by Khara’s wise guidance and suggestions. I look forward to working with her again.

Good Days, Bad Days Book Social Media Marketing Durango

Author of Good Days, Bad Days

Khara came highly-recommended to me by a mutual acquaintance. I was seeking a savvy social-media person to help me launch my book; a collection of short stories. My goal was to have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, the web and wherever else was appropriate to be noticed and allow people to buy the book. Khara not only made superb suggestions of where and how to do that, but pretty much led me by the hand through process and set up. She is prompt, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Her tutorials are a thing of beauty; she is patient and considerate and offers a “port in the storm” when confusion reigns supreme. I am delighted to have her in my corner.

A Little More About My Background

As a multi-passionate creative from the beginning, I found myself naturally shifting between all aspects of marketing, websites, and graphic design to meet my clients needs.

As a life-long “student” of the ever-changing industry, I have been fortunate enough to work with and learn from mentors, agencies, and other colleagues in the field.

Why do you have chickens in your branding? You haven’t accidentally stumbled onto a chicken farming website, I promise. Chickens are silly, carefree, and fun. They remind us not to take life too seriously. And so, over the years my friends and family have come to know me as the “chicken lady”, even though I don’t own any….yet.

From 2018-2021, I held the position of Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator for the International Double Reed Society, a non-profit member-based organization for over 3,000 oboe and bassoon players worldwide, where I oversaw communications, social media management, website development, and helped the organization increase their online reach by over 400% and their membership by 30%.

I served as Interim Marketing Director for a couple of local SCAPE start-ups including MUNIRevs and Impact Fenders.

During the first few years of their business I handled all marketing actives for them. This included, but was not limited to, marketing strategy, graphic design, website design and maintenance, email campaigns, social media content creation, CRM organization and management, investment presentations, and more.

Before I was a marketing consultant and graphic designer, I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance on the oboe. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder and proceeded to build a freelance music business. I realized I was going to need a lot of marketing materials which drove me deeper into the process.

I have found a joyful balance between the two careers and am still playing music professionally. I have been teaching at Fort Lewis College as an Adjunct Professor of Music-Double Reeds since 2015 and am actively working on writing new music for oboe in the Celtic genre.
